Summer at the Simons Institute
Met a lot of clever people at the institute, and a few rattlesnakes in the Berkeley Hills. Long days reading followed by outdoor sunny swims. Californians are living the dream and they don't even know it. When I get time, I'd like to write down despite what I just said, I'd never want to live here.
We were lucky to spend a summer in California. I was attending the Sub-linear Algorithms program, and Vicky just tagged along.
So many rattlesnakes in the Berkeley hills. The locals do not seem to be too bothered however.
The California sun gave me much needed energy to get back into running.
Common sights in Berkeley. Constant police presence on the streets. Walking around the city was largely un-enjoyable.
Found some time to pop into San Francisco.
